I was just wondering what type of photographer you consider yourself to be.

Of course, I missed a few options, and some of you fit into many categories, but out of the options I have chosen what best describes the bulk of your photography?

If there is not a category that suits your photography, then choose other or don't participate. And by "photographer" I mean it by its simplest definition... a person who takes photographs.

Sorry for the typo in the title.

I voted the closest category for documentaries. As far as what type of photographer? Easy...

Broke and hungry.;)

I forgot to list documentary, but I would have lumped it in with photojournalism. Of course the poll isn't perfect and some will need to let me know that, but it's not a big deal if you choose to not vote or just vote other.

I consider myself a "confused" photographer because I shoot a lot of desolate urban landscape that suggests neglect, abandonement and lonelyness, but I also shoot a lot of street that is just the opposite.

Also adding to this confusion is that I shoot SLR's, rangefinders, TLR's and different formats so having too much gear than I really need compounds the problem.:bang:

Generally 35mm is mostly used for street and MF for urban landscape, but because of confusion there's a lot of crossing over.

Yes, that is exactly what I did...and happy with that.:) Thanks for this thread, it should prove interesting.

Give me a minute sir... it posted the thread before allowing me to finish the poll.

Ah, now it's there :)

Maybe it would have been a nice idea to make several options clickable instead of just one :) Certainly would have made it easier for me!

I thought about it... but decided against it because it gets messy. I did say though:
