October 1959.

A 46 year-old virgin. :bang:

The M3DS is 1957, M2 is 1958 (first regular production batch), and the M3SS is 1960.

The Leica IIIF is a converted IIIc, probably 1946 or 47. The CL is a young whippersnapper from the '70s.

buy that m2 that is for sale.
play with it till you want to move on and then sell it to me at a horrible loss:):):)

I have an M2, that I chose to keep over the M3. No regrets about the choice, just about the M3 part. :) Hmmm... maybe when you are done playing, YOU can sell it back to me for a horrible loss. For wear and tear, you know. :)

The 1946/47 run was 40,001; all IIIc's. They go from 400,000 to 440,000. There may have been some IIIc's between the (approximate) 397,000 and 400,000 range but the book I have isn't too clear about them.

Cause I have used it and the M6 a lot and have gotten used to the .72 finder. When I started shooting with the M3 again, it took some time to adjust. I figured I didn't need another variable to account for. That, plus it just had a CLA, shutter and frameline replacement with DAG last year.

You, on the other hand, are used to 1x finders on the P, and now on the ZI.

I also have been shooting more 35mm.
