Perhaps a dumb question, but what is black bread?

Black bread is a dark-coloured bread, usually made from coarse rye grain. Generally, black breads have a rougher texture than normal rye bread. Pumpernickel is one type of black bread.

Ohh ok, I've just never heard the term "black bread".

I call it brown bread or German bread. It's real, as opposed to the bleached white flour spongy crap most common in north america. To make that stuff, they rape the grain of most of it's goodness (fiber), the processing destroys any goodness left (vitamins), they add back a bit, and then call it "enriched"!

The best camera is one that still works!
A film scanner ... otherwise the digital cameras in my arsenal will dominate me totally!

Yes, a film scanner (or flatbed that is film capable) is the ticket to freedom from the tyranny of digital cameras!

Good light when I have the time to take pictures, and bad when I don’t, that plastic hot-shoe cover for the OM, the address of whoever stole one of my lens cases in 2002, I won’t bore everybody with the list, good subjects, and a bit of luck about covers it
