what you want RIGHT NOW

After lots of looking and reading I have lens lust for the new 28 2.8 Elmarit-M, but luckily they are hard to find. ;-)

So my next lens purchase will very likely be the 35 1.2 Nokton modded for the M8 from Our Friendly Bartender.

Peace, love and understanding (on perennial back-order).

Camera-wise, the Minolta CLE I'm tracking on the 'Bay (fat chance, with over 800 hits on that page). :(

Aha, Amateriat beat me to it...

World peace please - closely followed by food for all, not to mention a fast and cheap way to reverse global warming and a new clean energy-source.

And a job earning my current wages in one morning per week, of course.

Ohh ok, I've just never heard the term "black bread".

in my house black bread is what my wife will buy for herself nice full flavored bread, when she serves ME black bread it is an extremely burned English muffin:eek:

I updated my response from last year, but besides the new 25MM coupled lens, a 15MM and I would like to not feel like I am coming off a 3 day bender [and I don't drink :bang: ]

Leica Elmarit 24mm f/2.8 and a Rolleiflex TLR... is someone going to buy these for me? ;-)

If I got myself one I'd actually have to scan in thousands of film. The very thought inspires procrastination in the most motivated.

Here's a tip. Get contact sheets done of your negs (if you don't already have these). Then pick only the very best to scan. Be a ruthless editor at this stage. Otherwise, the enormity of the task will overwhelm you. If this sounds obvious, it apparently isn't the norm among analogue photographers like us. It seems so many scanner users scan everything! Yikes, what a collosal waste of time.

Have fun with the scanner.

Oh, and what do I want right now?... For someone to buy my 25/2.8 Zeiss Biogon ZM so that I can buy a 28/2.8 Leica Elmarit-M (version IV or V) [or a trade in that general direction]. Then I'll have a perfect two lens kit - 50mm and 28mm. I've decided the Zeiss is an awesome lens with a slightly too-wide-for-me field of view.

Provia 400X

Provia 400X

20 rolls of Fujichrome Provia 400X, and give 19 away and see the smile I bring to everyone's faces! :D

Cheers

Joe,

It just feels a bit wierd peering around to the far edges of the finder trying to visualize the FOV. Maybe it's just practice. Then again, it's all I can to to focus, set aperture and shutter speed, let alone compose outside my comfort zone. I am a bit dumb, after all.

Well, I still want that CLE (results in three...two...one...)

(Edit: nuts...out of the water again...)
