For those who have had to send their camera body (not lens) to Leica for repair out of warranty, what's the biggest out of pocket expense you've had to make for your M8, M9, Monochrom, or M240?
Has anyone had a camera that wasn't worth the cost to fix it?
Thanks!

Didn't actually have to send it in for repair but since its had a stubborn spot the sensor/sensor cover the results of my last clean were less then stellar I decided to send my M8 to Leica for a basic overall including RF adjustment, CD tilt/position adjustment, Pixel column restoration, RF adjustment. Replacement of body cover and 4 way button total estimate $535.00.
Way I figure it this will give me a like new M8 to use for the next 2-3 years after which I should be able to afford a used M240 in pristine condition.

About the same as Mcary on an M8 a few years ago.

Oh, about 2100 USD, sometime back in 2008 to repair my M8 that fell 8 meters onto the rocks. Insured.
Anyway, any other camera would have been a collection of screws and plastic shards...

Slightly OT, because it concerns the M7 - 730 Euro after some weird mechanical problem with the winder. That was my last M (and I had a few).
