How about some BBQ?

Now you know what I was doing at 5am this morning, firing up my new smoker!!!

And a selfie in the Weber.

Half done, temp is still around 250 degrees, cooking slow and low. Being my first smoke I am paying way too much attention to it. I like the thought of being able to take a nap this afternoon and not having to tend to the grill.

Steamer, time to import a cooker and of course there is an Internet home for your efforts.

I have thought (dreamed) about that a lot. But the close proximity of apartments and balconies in Tokyo, means that you wind up smoking your neighbors' laundry and filling your own and other folk's rooms with never ending Q smoke. Add to this the fire trucks showing up and vitamin Q remains unobtainium. Maybe I'll have to go and open a BBQ shack in Mongolia.

So how was your Q by the way?

First meal out of our new Weber tonight- simple one, burgers and half potatoes dipped in olive oil w/garlic & herbs.

Delicious!

I did my second Q yesterday. My father called today to say the left-over brisket was excellent.

Next time, ribs. ;)
