What's it about the Color Skopar 28mm 3,5 LTM?

I remember looking for the Skopar when I wanted a 28 on my M 240. I ended up falling into a Kobalux 28/3.5 for a great price instead. Lovely tiny lens.

I have the W-Nikkor 28/3.5 for my S-2 as well.

I still have the Color-Skopar 28mm in black, I bought it for its sheer beauty, I rarely use wide lenses. It is in mint condition, the box is there too. It is heavy for such a small lens, all brass. I always thought that someday there would also be a black 35mm LTM from Voigtländer, but no, much later there was an aspheric Heliar 40mm LTM in black. The mechanical quality of that lens cannot be compared to the Color-Skopars 50mm and 28mm.

I love my 28mm Skopar and I've used it on both film and digital bodies without a problem. It is small and just so easy to use and while the image quality can't be compared across the frame to the very best lenses on digital it does have a lot more character than some and on film doesn't let the side down at all.

I see that many versions of the Color Skopar 28 are on sale at Camera Quest now.

However, it is the 2.8, I see.

The 3.5 is no longer in production. The current 2.8 versions are among the newest offerings by the company.
