Whats your biggest rangefinder related regret

I regret selling this Nikon S2 kit. Wish I had hung on to the body, the Nikkor 3.5cm f1.8, the Voigtlander 21mm f4, and the Nikkor 8.5cm f2.

One of my favorite lenses I own is my 3.5cm f1.8! I got a rear element housing adapter so I could mount it on digital M mount stuff. Its a fun little lens.

This one is from messing with my new to me RD-1 this morning. The 3.5 balances well on the camera and is surprisingly easier to focus on the epson over my m10m. Probably because the lower resolution on the camera. still very soft wide open. SOOC jpg.

Biggest regret: Not getting (or trying) an M8.2 Can't believe the used prices right now. 😳

Never entered the Leica digital arena but the images from the M8 never disappoint me. (Also kudos to the R-D1)

Selling whatever with the name Leica on it. Nowadays I could make much more profit.

I sold a black paint leicavit 5 years ago for 600$ with box and paper work..... MISTAKES were made. they are going for way more now. 🙁

My biggest regret is throwing money at Zorki and Zeiss Ikon 533/24 Contessa cameras. I know, I know, lots of photographers have marvelous success with Zorki’s. The Contessas are my own fault for repeating the mistake. I just liked the form of a compact folding rangefinder and kept buying them in hopes of finding a functional one.

Cumulatively it was not an awful lot of money, especially compared to what many of you have in your Leica M’s, but for less than I have in these lesser cameras, I picked up a Leica III with a Summar 5cm f/2 and cannot be happier.

BTW That Balda Baldessa next to the Contessa is a surprisingly robust camera.

My only rangefinder regret is selling the black paint M2 I bought in Paris for circa 450 € in the late 90s.
....a 50 Noctilux, & 75 Summilux and other lenses went too....but they aren't missed.
In the end though my '68 black paint M4 serviced by Don Goldberg & with a black paint Leicavit eases the memory...

Dear Board,

After doing whatever I did with the Canonet 28 that I got for a Christmas present when I was 16, my biggest regret is my faltering vision.

Focusing manually is getting harder to do. But if I live another year or so I will be able to get the cataract surgery I so desperately need courtesy of Medicare like my wife did.

On the plus side, I've since reacquired a fully operational Canonet 28 with the Canolite D flash so I'm back in HS.

My youth will never return, but for the price of a dozen hot wings and 3 mugs of beer I'll keep trying to recapture it with $ 40.00 eBay or Shopgoodwill purchases until I die!
