Crop ?! GASP![]()
I agree with the crop diagnosis (for what it's worth). The view out the window behind the subject doesn't strengthen the image.

The best camera is one that still works!
I'm a little on the OCD side myself so I can relate to your feelings with your camera gear when these little things don't seem quite right.
But .... you need to supress it or it will seriously affect the enjoyment of your hobby!

You realise there's no hope for you Dan!
Do you fly in planes ... I'm not sure that I'd want to be sitting next to you while you worried about what may be loose or falling off.

If you aren't seeing problems in the pictures you are taking, instead of suppressing it, view these little perceived issues as part of the history of your camera.
Obviously if you are seeing the manifestation of issues certainly have it checked out.

I don't answer to OCD necessarily, but I think Dan would have trouble cropping a photo judging from his post above. I have only relaxed enough to do it a little recently. I think an MP is the wrong camera for Dan. A workhorse M6 is easier. I was most relaxed of all with an M4-2. The more I read about MPs the less I want one.

This is the reason I buy beat up users, nothing to worry there unless it is faulty...

I find mint condition camera stressful to use. Have more fun with a user.

I have nothing against cropping.
Ive always wanted a black paint camera, and went with the MP.
My father ( M6 user ) thinks the shutter release on my MP is quite smooth. Gah, guess i shant think too much about it then.
Willl receive the test roll in 2 days. C41.

And just received a M6 skin for the M6.
Kinda hate the feel of the MP skin. Too slippery!

I have found the same problems with classic fly reels, they just sit on the shel and never see the stream for fear of being the first one to put a scratch or ding in something so old and lovely. Most have been sold to fund other addictions.

4/23/12, 10am: With my M3 now, the lever does't have any free play but it seems that there must be a compression washer in there somewhere, because I can get it to move a bit if I really try. Certainly nothing that I could ever call "loose" though.

Ive decided to invest 18USD on the film advance clamp from Zhou!
Just curious, how do you know whether your mp is sealed ? The vf that is. Mine has a little dust ( doesnt affect viewing ). Though the rubber cover is slightly ummm loose? Guess it happens with time.

Yeah, but your MP is a piece of junk.
Just send it to me and I will exercise it for you at no charge.

When i retrieve film from the MP, as it reaches the end, it becomes a tad tight ( which is normal i guess ), then it makes a snapping sound when it detaches from the 'teeth'.
The sound's apparent when the baseplate is removed..

When base plate is attached, it sounds exactly like the sound the m6 emits when film latches off the teeth..
Guess the baseplate has a corrective mechanism of some sort.

Dude - You seriously need to get another camera. You sound like Woody Allen trying to have sex without getting messy.
