Started life in Buffalo, NY United States, moved to a much smaller city--Cortland, NY aprox 17,000 people--then lived around the States, mostly Mid-western and some in the Rockies. Moved back to NY to a tiny place; Raquette Lake with all of 98 year round residents. And even this place feels too crowded sometimes!😱
If I can find a rock in the middle of the woods with good Wi-Fi, I may move there next.😀

I have heard that the cost of film in Scotland after independence will double due to hugely increased shipping costs and import duties. The cost of film in England will halve because we won't have to subsidise the costs of shipping the stuff up there🙂

Assuming of course we still actually make any in the UK

Very funny but sadly there's a lot of truth in what you say.

I wish someone would subsidise the cost of my postage. Living on Skye means having to pay ridiculous delivery charges or not being able to get delivery at all. When we wanted to buy a small couch and two chairs from a Welsh company, they wanted £150 for delivery. We eventually bought from Asda - delivery £9.99 - the furniture made in Eastern Europe.

Or, conversely, that there were so few North Americans!

Cheers,

R.

I added one 'vote' for N.A.

I was born in Washington State where my dad was stationed in the military, spent my early life there. Since then I have bounced around for school and work.

Philadelphia is the longest residence I have had as an adult, and since my kids both grew up here (and youngest born here), it feels like 'home' more than anywhere else.

The Netherlands.

A grieving country these days, for reasons far more serious than the world cup

Johan, that was a horrific loss for your nation, a horrible and stupid tragedy. While no one deserves such a fate, it is especially poignant that a country that has tried to maintain civilized and humane ideals was the primary victim.

Dear Randy,

At 12 years here in Moncontour, this is the second-longest time I've lived continuously in one place (13 years in Bristol). But wouldn't you have guessed, before this poll, that the forum was predominantly North American? Not much, but slightly?

Cheers,

R.

I voted North America, though I supposed if one wanted to argue semantics, I'm actually "from" Europe. Born in Germany to American parents and lived there for 6 years. Another 29 in the US, less an extended, compulsory trip to Southwest Asia.

Yes, I agree, I am surprised as well.

Given that the forum, while broad in scope, does focus on classic rangefinders, perhaps this indicates that you Europeans are a bit less shallow and consumerist compared to North Americans (and especially the ones sandwiched between Canada and Mexico)

Born in Paris, raised in Annecy (French Alps), then Rennes (Brittany) up to now. After a brief year in Plymouth, UK, I'm moving to Rochester, NY at the end of August.

Voted Europe.

We need to non-dimensionalize the statistics, based on population. Europe has 742M people and NA has 529M people.
So actually, on a per-capita basis, we NA's are way more attendant to the forum here.

Okay .... we win .... close the poll 😀

Unlike many, my home is in my location..
I don't use puzzles.
Some use these strange words and phrases.
Thought it was a 2nd language problem or were aliens.
If it was Yahoo asking, well they would NOT accept answer.
