As a M-Hexanon 50/2 owner, I came to adore this konica line of lenses.
The construction is as hefty as one can get, the optic is superb and the overall output is breathtaking.
I want to extand my optics stock and get a wider, 28mm glass.
Naturally, I was looking for Konica's wider sister of my M-Hex.
But, alas, I couldn't find any. I'm looking over the web for weeks and nothiong in view.
Do you know of any place/site/person that sells a copy of this lens?

Noone in particular, but keep your eyes open - they pop up from time to time - both here and on ebay. I got mine from a member here. It's a very good lens.
Good luck with your search!

Ditto. Once I decided on it, I think it took about 4-5 months to find one. Best of luck in your search. Pounce when it shows up. They seem to go fast.

Erik, I would be interested as well, in buying some of the Hexanon-M lenses, if your friend decides to sell.

ErikFive said:I might be able to help you. I have a friend that thinks about selling 28, 50, 90 M-Hexanons and the Hexar RF. I can check with him. All should be in mint cond.
I'd jump on that too, but I already have all of them

Just today I got the 28 and 90, originally boxed in perfect condition for 430 EUR. I'm so happy.
I wonder who got the mint Summicron 50 with hood for 250 EUR from the same guy. It was already sold when I called.

ErikFive said:Yeah. He wants to sell it. Just talked to him. All has seen very little use. 20rolls all together probably. 28 comes with hood and pouch and rear cap, 50 comes with front and rear cap. The same with the 90. All should be LN. The dollar is low so the prices is 650$ for 28mm, 400$ for 50 and 400$ for 90. 700$ for body. Shipping at cost. PM me if interested and I will put the rest in the classifieds when I have the time for it. Probably on sunday. The guy is a pro photographer and takes good care of his stuff.

I've had that lens for a few days and I returned it to them.
Be warned: I brought that lens to a local specialist, since it had some strange etch-like thingie on the rear lens. He has quite a good reputation here in Germany and is quite an unique guy.
He found out that the lens seems to have been in a moist environment for some time and that it was opened for repair before. There was a matte spot on the coating of an inner lens where a fungus had been removed. There still are some very, very small white spots inside the lens which might be of fungal origin.
The lens is too expensive for the faults it has.
The lens has faults of which the seller is aware, since I informed him in detail of the state the lens is in.
Attached you find some photos which I also sent to the seller before.
28-2.8-4697-017 - funky white spots deep inside
28-2.8-4697-016 - inner ring with evident signs of opening
28-2.8-4697-014 - observe the dark spot in the coating at abt 11 o'clock - it was no reflection, since it stayed in place no matter how you turned the lens, no matter what lightsource one used

I just sent the seller a mail via eBay. I told them that the lens they are selling was the one I reported defective.
Their reply: "Thanks a lot for your efforts."
Wow, that's one seller for my personal blacklist.

Why not go for the CV 28mm f/1.9? What do y'all think of that lens? I would guess it's just as good.

I think the main reason is because I came to admire the M-Hexanon series.
The image quality, the lens construction and the overall feeling I have with my M-Hex 50 will be very hard to match.
I doubt if the mentioned Ultron will feel that Hexy
Anyway, I've found me a M-Hexanon 28mm and I'm anxiously waiting for it to arrive.
Thank you all for your good will.
Pics will be published, once I'll attach it to my Bessa R3A.

DGA I understand completely. I picked up the Hexar in the shop when it was just out on the market and thought it was wonderful. Way beyond my means at the time (and what'ya know it still is) and I didn't even know until recently that it was an M mount camera. I have stayed away from the impeccable Leica equipment as well for obvious reasons. Now I think my first M mount camera will be purchased in the next year... the R3A (grey). I take it you are liking yours? Then I'd been thinking I'll get an M3, maybe a Hexar if a good deal on that comes along first. I'm more likely to get a nice M3 for sure though.
My first Bessa is going to be the R2S NHS set if supplies hold out for a bit. I have a fake Contax (supposedly a Kiev 4A) which can share the wide lenses. I am a Nikon guy so this will be a very nice purchase for me.

A short update,
Thanks to Erik, I'm now a proud owner of a lovely M-Hex 28 and it looks great.
I already took 5 rolls with her (none of which were developed yet)
and I'm waiting for the results.
Meanwhile, I had the chance to take some 'nude' photos of it on my Besa R3A.
