Well, I guess technically it isn't a "cup", but more a threaded metal ring with just a bit of rubber to keep eyeglasses from getting scratched:

Mine simply unscrewed and fell off somehow. It's a pretty nonessential part (I guess that's why I haven't found a camera store that stocks them). The only reason I'm looking is because I do wear eyeglasses.

I think all the normal Voigtlander retailers sell them (CQ, PhotoVillage, etc.). Nikon FM eyepieces do fit, but remember that the Bessa diopter is neutral and the Nikon default diopter is -1. Also, some Nikon diopters don't have a rubber edge.

Same thing happened to my ZI, and I got a Nikon 0 diopter. I actually like the fact that it lacks the rubber bumper, which got caught on my clothes and made the diopter unscrew itself.

This has always been confusing. I think that the standard Nikon eyepiece has a diopter of zero but the viewfinder mechanism has an overall diopter of -1 (which is typical). So the standard eyepiece glass has no value, it is flat glass. But the Nikon "-2" diopter is a -1 piece of glass because it takes into account the combination of eyepiece plus viewfinder system. And so on with all the other values. The Nikon system has no "-1" diopter listed because it is the standard flat eyepiece. B+H list one for the FM but it has no rubber,

Yes, John is correct. Nikon's "Replacement" diopter is the one you want, 2925. The "Neutral" diopter is +1 by itself.
