It appears that some have found the definitive answer... I'd suggest to do a side-by-side comparison of a later Leica M and the Zeiss Ikon. While the viewfinder of the Zeiss is really bright, you may find it difficult to see the rangefinder patch when your eye is not exactly centered or under dimly lit conditions.Lord Fluff said:[...]
