As the late Roger Hicks would say 'speed costs'. The Nokton f1.1 cost a bit more when it first came out, they are now selling it off. My only VC is the Nokton F1.0, I am happy with it ( other 50s are ZMs).

The Nokton 50/1.5 in LTM. My only modern 50mm lens, the rest are vintage Nikon, Zeiss, Canon and Jupiter

Come to think of it, I have also such a CV 50/1.5 ltm. I also love using other brand 50mm ltm lenses. One of my favorite lenses is a (1938) Zeiss Jena 5cm 1.5 ltm. The Zeiss Jena 5cm 2 is also a wonderful lens.

I just love Cosina and Mr Kobayashi. He's a god, like Kwanon was for Canon. I also love 50mm lenses, so there's a recipe for excess. At current count I have 6 CV 50mm lenses, being:

50/1.2 - sharp, compact
50/1.5 LTM - sharp and LTM
50/1.5 Nokton M-mount v2 - great
50/2 Apo Lanthar - sharp and great
50/2.5 LTM black - fantastic, and LTM
50/2.5 LTM silver - ditto

I used to have, but have now sold, the 50/1.1 (too chunky), 50/1.5 Nokton M-mount v1 (too painful), 50/2 Nickel Heliar 10th Anniversary (cute but fiddly), and 50/3.5 Nickel collapsible Heliar (too fiddly and not cute)

You have experienced a set of excellent 50mm lenses.
I have been fortunate to get some 50mm lenses from Brian Sonnar after he modifies them or the mount. There may be some one-of-a-kind lenses that I ended up with.
There are two 50mm SLR lenses that I like using on non-SLR cameras. The Zeiss Planar 50/1.4 (Rollei QBM mount) and the Pentax-M 50/1.4. I have the Pentax lens in M mount with full RF focusing. I have not managed to get the Zeiss 50/1.4 into a RF mount so far. Some company charges over $1000 for an adapted one into M mount.

CV Nokton 1.1/50
CV Heliar Classic 250 years Anniversary 2/50
Zeiss C Sonnar T* 1.5/50 ZM
Nikkor 1.2/50 Ais

Of these four lenses, I've used the Zeiss the most but I think that the Nokton 1.1/50 will get a new lease on life with the recently acquired Leica SL2-S. Cheers, OtL

The SL2-S will help you nail the focus each time at aperture 1.1.

50mm is far from being my favorite focal length for 35mm film or digital (I prefer 40-45mm or 58-60mm lenses).

I have only one 50mm CV lens, the beautiful 50mm/ f2.0 "250 Jähre" collapsible Heliar.

Cheers!

So the Pentax-L 43mm 1.9 would be suitable for you. The Rollei 40mm/2.8 or Summicron-C 40mm/2 too! I use these lenses here and there. They are excellent overall.

I'd like to pick up a Voigtlander 50 but there are so many of them now I just get confused trying to figure out which one to give a whirl. I already have some 50s too so it isn't like I need another.

The new CV 40mm f2.8 Heliar is a tiny gem
