Hi folks. What flash would you all recommend for use with a Fuji X-e2? I’ve not read anything great about the Fuji ef range of lights. But I’ve been researching affordable camera flash for sale online and the Yongnou, Altura, Nissin, Neewer and Godox brands all seem worth considering once you’ve compared price against substance. Of the Fuji X-range users amongst us, what have you found works best? The Yongnou models seem to be the most popular but possibly only because they have been around the longest. In all fairness, the different brands all look fairly similar (it would surprise me if they were all made in the same factory in China). Can anybody make any personal recommendations? Thanks in advance for any pointers offered.

When I was photographing interiors for $$$ I used up to five Yongnou YN-560 flashes for a couple of years. I never had a problem wth any of them. I dropped a couple with no consequences. Even the battery doors held up well. I didn't zoom them much so I can't comment on that function's robustness.
I consider Yongnou units to be very cost effective. I really can't think of any disadvantages for common usage. There could be issue for applications that require higher engineering tolerances for the electronics and light tube... but I don't know of any.
As an aside I used Yongnou triggers as well. They too worked very well with no issues (I used them on a Fujifilm X-T1).
You are probably aware none of the units you mentioned do not support TTL operation. For me this was not an issue, but some people feel TTL is important.

I've used my YN-560 III (Canon mount) with a X100s (at 1/1000s) and X-E2 with no problem, other than not having TTL which I never cared about.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm more than happy to use the flash on manual, so that is not an issue. As I suspected, Yongnuo sounds like the brand to go with. Thanks for the clarification. Cheers.
