It's only been a week. I find the feel of the UC Hex 35 comfortable on the body. ... Right size. However, the Hex dual effectively works as a small zoom lens since I can use the full equivalent focal length range from ~28-50. In addition, I needn't check the focus as closely when using that lens because it isn't super fast. I like reverse ring macro a lot so far, too.

CV 35/1.2 probably about 80% of the time for me. It's just about perfect.

I probably use the CV40 the most followed by the CV58. Both seem to work really well on the NEX.

Today, I realized how well the Nikkor 50/2 works with the Nex. Finally, close focus to 18" becomes useful to me.

Summicron-C 40mm f2 on the front mostly. I also like the results I get with my LTM Jupiter 9 as long as I don't need to use a slow shutter speed...

For closer focusing, I use any of the lenses I have for my Nikon SLR's.

MF is surprisingly easy, but I find the whole process a bit shaky if the camera isn't firmly pressed against my face.

Lately for me, I am using the CV 21.4. It is light, almost always in focus and FOV's at 32mm. Oh and yes the IQ is better than the Sony lenses.

At the moment i find myself between the CV 12mm (i'm really liking the angle of view on this) and a CV 35 f1.4

I find myself with a canon RF f1.4 50mm occasionally but i'm looking for something longer too. 75,85 or even 90. Not sure yet.

I'm tempted to get another body so i can cut down on lens swaps!

I'm also very tempted by the new 35mm f1.2 when it arrives. My biggest bugbear is the lack of close focusing on most RF lenses compared to SLR. The 0.5mm of the new 1.2 i think will work for me. Even though it's just 20cm closer than the existing one!

That's why I find myself constantly going back to my Contax G 35, despite having 3 other 35mm rangefinder lenses. I measured the mfd of the Contax to be just .43m on NEX, with the working distance being around .37m.

BTW, Olympus Pen F lenses also have shorter mfds.

Until recently, the Sony E16. While I was away for work, I decided to try my hands on some old manual focus lenses.

At the moment, it's a pre-war Zeiss Sonnar 50/1.5 that is stuck to my NEX. The Jupiter lenses are, unfortunately, noticeably poorer than the original (and the Jupiter-12 won't fit).

For M42, I have a Mir-1 37/2.8 and a Zeiss (not Jena) Tessar 50/2.8. Both are very nice lenses, but won't focus at infinity with my adapter. I've ordered a different one, and hope for the best.

Next time I go to work (it's an exploration camp, and I work there for 4-5 weeks straight), i'll probably get a 35 ZM biogon or a Voigtlander Nokton (either 35 or 40), while I wait for the announced native Zeiss 24mm.

50mm Zeiss f2 ZM mostly. 16mm for wide - a good, cheap travel lens. Using a Rollieflex a lot for film means I am comfortable in TLR shooting mode. Focus peaking works well for faster shots.
