I'm gonna be different and suggest a 28. In an older thread Joe got quite interested in the 28 after all, he's already got a 35 or two and a few 50s if I recall correctly.

I think he should start off with his favy the 35. Then we'll be able to get him away from those Canons & transition him onto Leica... 😉

He's been very interested in 28 of late so that's what I voted for. But really, I think he'd be quite happy with any of them.

I didn't vote because I thought that Tony was going to work with him to get what he wanted. No? Knowing Joe a little, well, we all know that he most prefers the 35mm focal length. He often says that he has some trouble with the 28, but he also uses it on the street, he did in NYC. 50 isn't a favorite, and he has two nice Canon's right now.

Notice that 35mm is "winning". I voted for it too.

But just realized - that means he wouldn't be able to use the ZI for the contest!

Perhaps this whole fundraiser thing is really our sneaky little way of narrowing down the competition? 🙂

OK, I voted 35. I can't keep up with all the info on this. I didn't know that Frank had a conversation with Joe, or that Joe had made any comment about this.

It is a big thank you for someone who deserves it. The 35 is a fast modern lens of his favorite focal length.

He's been collecting 35s and in one thread he said that he really likes the 35mm focal length. I'm thinking 35. But, considering the incredibly large amount of 35mm lenses that he already has, a good 28 seems more appropriate.
