it's all in the tiltle. Just curious.

How sad it is to observe that those who made Leica what it was have switched to other brands.
Professionals have obligations to fulfill, targets to realize. What they are supposed to deliver can only be accomplished with cameras offering up-to-date technologies; not unlike what surgeons, dentists or engineers need to perform their professions. They too have figured out since long that Leica is "hopeless" in this regard.
Does it matter?
Leica are working in partnership with Magnum now so I'm sure many are using Leica's in some part now.
Better take it rather as "commercials"... I wonder how many of them would have afford to pay for a Leica from his/her own pocket. BTW, they have to stick to their "original" choice of cameras besides using promotional Leicas in order to perform their profession.
Those color M9 shots by Bruce Gilden are pretty ugly. I don't think he would keep the M9 if it wasn't given to him for free.
How many working professionals can afford a new Leica system anyway?
Are we saying that many magnum photographers don't make good money?
That hippie-surfer-looking blond fellow from Oz or NZ with the Mamiya 7 also.
Guess what: can't remember his name 😀
