Having had the heartbreaking experience of having a shutter ribbon snap on my P, is there anyone in the U.S. who works on these cameras?

Thanks!
Dante

I don't know if it's still open, but I'm sure the camera repair place in Smyrna GA will work on these. I think the name is just something like Camera Service Center and they specialize in older gear and did a great job on a K mount zoom of mine a while back.

Thanks all! Midwest is fairly local and I have had Bill Moretz @ProCamera fix a lot of my stuff. Just didn't know if this type of malfunction was abnormally exotic.

My condolences for your shutter ribbon, Dante.

Advance Camera Repair and Blue Moon Camera & Machine are both shops in Portland, Oregon who have done good work for me. Albeit just CLAs, nothing dire. The shutter on my Canonet QL17 GIII jammed almost immediately after I bought it and I sent it to Blue Moon for a CLA.

Call youxin ye. Consider Gus Lazzari....a highly skilled technician

I think Youxin only works on Canon bottom loaders. I asked him whether he’d CLA a Canon VI-L for me, and he said he did not work on that camera, which is very much like a Canon P…

Yes, last year he banned work on any canon with a back door.
