It's not Joel Meyerowitz you mean is it? He appeared in the BBC 'Genius of Photography' program a lot. There's plenty of footage of him on YouTube.

As mr_phillip said, probably Joel Meyerowitz. There's a video he did for Magrack, that I enjoy watching from time to time. Better quality version on his site though.

There was another video posted here about an NYC street photog I hadn't heard of before. Who was walking the streets of NYC on 9/11 and captured some great images. The video talked extensively about his feelings as he shot that day.

I'm working on finding the name.

There's also another NYC based street photographer, Helen Levitt, actually in exhibition in Hannovre, Germany. She used mostly rangefinder cameras (Leica). For me, her work is great and not one step behind HCB and RC.

No - but I'll have to look into his work too. Would be interesting to see if the perspective changes drastically when viewed through an officer's camera.

I just saw it ... fantastic! PLEASE give us more links ... when I've wached Joel on Magrac video for a first time, I was very, very impressed ... basics are the same, but if you compare this photographers , I think, you can notice that they DO street photography in some way - with personal signature 😉

the man is CRAZY. I can never raise my camera and stick it to someone's face like he did. The pictures are certainly outstanding but the method he used is not suitable for everyone (majority people i assume)
