Personally I have always seen him as a European version of Churchill with excellent negotiation skills added :angel:
But I understand the sentiment. Just because he has kept Luxembourg the most prosperous country in the EU during his long tenure, why would he have anything to bring to the EU :bang:

The biggest fallacy in today's photography is that a photographer needs to be an expert on everything, from shooting to post-processing, the reality is that while anyone can learn the basic shooting and what to point the camera at, very few actually learn how to process an image 'correctly', and by correctly I mean, at least on the same level as in-camera jpgs.
The Fuji jpgs are a perfect solution for someone who just wants to shoot and not worry about RAW processing. RAW processing is not for everyone.
Ken Rockwell might not be a wise person but when he says shoot jpg, it does make sense because 99% of photographers cannot produce jpgs that could match what their camera's jpg engine can dish out.
If you think the image qualty of fuji x jpgs are no good then, you need to rule out all the issues from your side, because there is a general consensus that fuji jpgs are some of the best if not the best out there among other camera makers.

I guess the question back to the OP and Foveon enthusiast is, "why hasn't this supposedly genius sensor set the world on fire?" From the answer to that, you can divine why Fujis are so popular:
- They have interchangeable lenses that are quite good.
- They work well over ISO 400 in color.
- They don't operate at an unstable arms' lenth.
- Many of them have usable manual controls.
- None of them looks like a land-line phone handset.

Have you tried the latest LR/ACR? They go a long way in fixing any X Trans issues. LR is currently at 5.5 (5.4 is a good update) and ACR 8.5 (8.4 is again, the one to start with).
Failing that, try C1 or Iridient Developer. Adobe is hardly the benchmark it might have once been, especially lately.
