Why blue viewfinder (QL17 GIII)?

I have finally received my QL17 GIII that I won on the Bay.
The first thing I wonder is actually why the viewfinder is blue?

That's the color cast of the clear part of the semi-silver mirror in the beam splitter, I think. It's more pronounced (actually greenish blue) in the Mamiya SD, but I notice it on my QL17 GIII too.

The half-silvered mirror is probably done with gold, so that the patch is probably gold color, and the field winds up blue (opposite of gold).

You can get better contrast between the two overlapping images this way.
