Why do people do This - Classifieds

I am very Preplexed , have placed a bunch of stuff for sale in RFF classified section under Auction section: and everybody write's what are the Price's

First of all this is Auction ,since just about everybody can guess what these type of cameras are worth, why do you need to ask the Price, You know what you can afford and what your willing to spend Make me an Offer :

I've found that a lot of the people asking on ebay what you really want, or asking for a buy it now price, are actually well aware of what the item is and how much it is worth, and are hoping to circumvent the auction system and get the item for a song!

Same here. They know what the item is worth. They are afraid to bid too much and hope you'll offer it at a low ball asking price out of ignorance.
