Why have the Russians never made digital cameras?

some of the best comedians came from canada...and celine (gag me)...
canadian documentaries regularly win awards...and then there is pam anderson...the canada space arm...shall i go on?
 
Don't forget Celine Dion! A whole bunch of comedians too.

One of my favourite movies is Canadian ... 'Broom Men.' Brilliant, has anyone seen it?

But we were talking about Russian digital cameras ... or am I mistaken? :D

I think the Russians could make a serious digital camera but I'm not sure they could market it successfully against all the latest Japanese whiz bang updated every 3 month models.
 
In all my years at RFF I have never seen a serious thread go so instantly astray from it's intended topic ... I'm deeply hurt! :p
