Wondering if STMicroelectronics have completed the development of the CMOS sensor for the M10 in time.. or the project completely canceled.

... likes film again.
The second batch is being delivered now. I get mine on Monday. Leica will be producing this camera for years to come.![]()
The second batch out of the 500 produced or was the first batch 500 cameras in total and the actual number will exceed 500?

I never believed in the "leaking" theory. It´s just a form of viral marketing. So I think they are concentrating to the 17th Sept. event @ PK in Köln.With only a few days to go until the supposed announcement of the M10, why have we only seen a couple of 'spy shots' of the supposed M10 body from a user using what looked to be live view?

I shoot film, I wanna buy my first digital rangefinder before 21-12-2012.
Leica MM is my first choice, but I really looking forward for a minimalist digital rangefinder.
If we can connect the camera to a laptop and set everything through a software before you start shooting, is it still possible? I can live with auto WB setting.
Possible, yes, but I doubt many would be interested. Of course I could be wrong. I'll ask at photokina. My guess is that they'd do a short run (20 to 50) if they were pre-sold. But they'd almost certainly cost a lot more than Leicas with screens.
Cheers,
R.

Oh no, Leica DRF ($10K) with Leica laptop ($8K) and proprietary Leica cable ($2K)....
How about Program/Setting cards like Minolta used? Really no LCD needed. Also, such cards would be great sell-up items.

But your idea using setting card is great. We can save the setting inside the SD card and the camera will load it automatically.

The first batch delivered was 500 worldwide. This is the second batch, I've been told. The second batch out of the 500 produced or was the first batch 500 cameras in total and the actual number will exceed 500?
It is certainly not a limited edition.

I can't imagine anyone who buys an MM is the sort of person who would be saying to themselves, upon hearing about a new camera, "Doh! I could have had a camera that shoots color! Why didn't I wait?!"
Funny. Soup though my nose.
