Why the 4 exposure option on Fuji Texas leicas?

I understand switching between, say, 9 and 18 exposures. But all the Fujis also have a four exposure option. What happens to the unused film?

Fuji made film in half 120 rolls and 1 exp sheets for the Japanese market. Photography of tourist groups, that is what the cameras are made for.
