Wide angel & telephoto !?

These look exactly like the tele/wide adapters for the GSNs! (I don't own them but they're pretty common on eBay.) They're not supposed to be very good or very powerful, most who have them seem to give them the thumbs down.
The whole point of the Electro series is speed. These are the fastest cameras in operation I've ever owned. IMO they represent the right mix of control vs. automation. Why would you want to slow it all down and most certainly diminish the speed and sharpness of lens with not too powerful teleadapters and an attachment finder?

Agree.... but it would be fun to test them, to see if it works even if I am pretty sure I would not use them that much!

Check out Yashica-guy.com for more info on these. I used to have a set, but didn't like them too much. As I recall, the wide makes a GSN about 35mm and the tele makes it about 70mm. Not a huge difference.
Also, you need to do some "focus adjusting". You focus through the rangefinder then transfer the distance to the auxiliary lens. Or something like that.
To me it was more trouble than it was worth.
I see that you have them mounted on an SLR, I always thought they would only work on a GSN. Did they work on that lens?

By the way - someone told me I need a conversion table with this set to be able to get proper settings..... Anyone having seen such a table, how does it work, anyone having a copy!?

The Yashica attachments are F4. In fooling around with them, I set the lens at a hyperfocal distance corresponding to F11, and shoot away. I often utilize the hyperfocal distance in general shooting with the normal 45MM lenses as well. Everything will be in focus from roughly 10 feet to infinity, when set to F11.

It's true, the effect of these lenses is small, as stated above, the WA is about 32mm and the TELE about 70mm. I have used the WA in tight situations, and it gave me just enough more view to do the job. The TELE is less useful. I just like to have all the accessories with my cameras.
There is no reason these won't work on any camera you can screw them on. With an SLR you don't even have to worry about focusing.
If you get a set, be sure the viewfinder is included, as they're useless without it.

They are not "wide" angels, they are "stout" angels. We should not make fun of the "robust" nature of our heavenly hosts. And we never use the word, "fat."
