Wife Going To Kiev Ukraine What Should I Get?

my wife has offered to make a trip to a camera store in kiev and spend 😕 some of my money since i am mostly new to fsu cameras what should i get ? maybe 1 camera and a lens or 2 ? i am partial to ltm so lets keep it in that realm

I'd say a Zorki 3m would be a good find, especially if she could try it out in the shop.

The Jupiter-3 50mm, Jupiter 12-35mm and Jupiter-9 85mm are also well known for their optical performance.

Does she realize that "a camera store in kiev" where she can buy good LTM camera is a market place known as a bazaar? But probably she could find one of the latest models of FED among Nikons, Canons, Minoltas etc (mostly digital) in a camera store.

Since you're partial to LTM, how about a basic set: J-3, J-8, J-9, J-11, and J12 and turret finder?
Not too bulky and maybe not too pricey?
Prices might take a jump if the seller sees "Decadent Western Capitalist"?

got it covered, she is looking for a 3 a 9 and a 12 and a finder she travels with a ukrainenian national so she will do the negotiating

Tell your wife you want to go along on this trip for some quality time together with her... That way she's happy, and you're happier still to go gear hunting!

These Jupiters are also available in Contax/Kiev mount, often in better condition. So, she should distinguish between mounts and don't buy wrong one because it was cleaner. Because you end up with LTM cameras and Kievs 🙂

Seriously, you may check Arax camera web site and save some money picking up the camera locally in Kiev. This is not a LTM thou 🙂
