William Klein

I suppose it would be his New York book, although I've only gotten fleeting looks at his other books. Boring, he is not.

Here's the first photo i ever saw of his:

New York is by far (IMHO) his best single work. Paris is a lot more affordable and also quiet a good book. Though it doesn't have the rawness of New York.

NY 54.55 is to my mind probably the best. CLOSE UP, an early-1980s collection, isn't bad, PARIS + KLEIN is good but as good as NY, and the most recently reissued, ROME + KLEIN, which is probably the one Klein I was most waiting for, is something of a disappointment. The best stuff in it is marvellous, but there seems some padding, which is definitely not the case with NY 54.55.
