California (Bay Area, Northern) Winogrand Exhibition San Francisco Get Together

Being as Damaso will be in town from New York for his show ("The Europeans" in Berkeley) I was thinking it might be nice to schedule our Winogrand visit and corresponding activities so he can take part. Our New York friends have welcomed some of our bay area RFFers in the past and I'd like to return the favor.

As such how does the 16th look for everyone? Not only would we get to see Winogrand's terrific work but also share a beer with Damaso.

Let's get a good turnout going!

Saturday 16th March ... Time please. If you haven't decided on when, well, noonish works best for me as a start. I should be able to get there for at least some part of the event.

I've put it on my calendar.

On Saturdays when there's an interesting show, SFMOMA gets crowded not long after opening. I'd suggest going in as soon after 11 as possible.

Kirk has an excellent point. Let's shoot for 11am if that works for everyone.
 
Thanks for the invite, Kent. I've got plans for all the dates in the poll. I'm going to try to get in there on the 17th. I might be able to make the 7th. I'll let you know or look for you if I do.

11 is a bit tight for me ... I have an earlier event that I'm usually involved with until 11 on Saturdays. I'll see if I can get away or cancel for that day.

In the event I can't get out until 10:30 or so, I'll meet you there but just be a bit late. Cell phones work ... both txt and voice. I'll PM kdemas with mine.

FYI...Saturday 3/16 is the St. Patty's Day parade on Market. Prime shooting opportunities will be had by all.
 
Meetup is this Saturday at 11am, MoMA cafe. Damaso is coming I believe so let's roll out the welcome wagon!

Not sure I can make it Saturday. But make sure Damaso doesn't pay for drinks, or I'll circulate those compromising photos I have of each of you. You know, the ones with the elderly tour group and the bananas.

I suggest, if possible, we bring 28mm lenses in Garry's honor. I'll pack a 28mmf2.8 Canon and my Skopar 28f3.5.
