woke up with an itch!

yeah, woke up this morning with the thought of selling 3 of my 4 fuji lenses and then getting the fuji 56…living with a simple set-up of 2 bodies and the 23/56 combo…it would cover most of what i usually shoot and i know i would not miss the 2 zooms…
i also woke up with a headache...

I'm going through the same thing.
If I sold the 60 that I just got and the 18-55 I could get the 23. I just sold an expensive broken watch on the auction site so I have almost enough for the 56.
Then I start thinking that I already cover both of those ranges (almost) in the 18-55.
Let me know what you decide.

The 56 is calling my name too, I have been lusting for it since it was just a blip on the Fuji roadmap.

Just did a major sell off, picking up an Xpro1 (again) tomorrow. I am one step closer....

I think I will capitalize on the Fuji sales and get a 23 first.

Yes that's my thinking too... two cameras in the bag: grab a 56 for my X-T1 and keep the 23 for my Xpro. My 14 and 55-200 are 5% of my shooting anyway, and I get plenty of warning when I'm going to need them (photography trips etc) so they can wait at home.

Question is now, what to do with my 14, 35 and 18-55?? They're too good to just sell and they've given me awesome photos, but I can see them becoming redundant because the 14/23/56 trio is from another planet.

By the way the X-T1 kicked my X-E2's butt and sent it to the auctions 😛

today, the 14/23/56 kit seems ideal but tomorrow if things work out i'd prefer a 16/23/56 kit…while i am ok with a 14 my preference would be the 16 for sure.

I will sell my 35 and get a 56 and the high speed wide (hopefully a 16/1.4) whenever that comes out.

The 14 doesn't see much use at the moment because the current Fuji X-trans sensor just doesn't cut it for me when it comes to landscape. I'm spoiled by the Sigma Merrill Foveon.

But I'm expecting the next generation of sensors for the X series could be a huge improvement, hence I couldn't resist buying the 14 now at the sale price.

If Sigma come out with a compact MILC or a 21 wide DP Quattro, I'd probably just sell the 14 and keep my Fuji X system centered on the 23 and 56 (and eventually the 16).

i'm not much into landscapes really…but i think a 16 is pretty well suited for some street shooting…easier than being sucessful with a 14 on the street...

oh lord, my shelves are bare!!

i sold just about everything! i surprised myself and sold the 60 and kept the 16-50 zoom…i love that lens! also sold the 50-230…nice lens but i doubt that i would use it much…not sure why i bought it in the first place.
now i need to wait for paypal to transfer the money to my bank account and then hope the local camera store has a 56 for me…i'll call tomorrow and see if they might tuck one away for me.
i feel a bit light headed but in a good way, i have always preferred to be a less is more kind of guy and having just a 23/56 kit is exciting to me.
the 16-50 will be a flexible extra lens.

I think you need a Leica S3 with the Noctiuberlux.

I never got along well with lens changing. Always seemed to have the wrong one on. I usually carry a GR (28mm) and Nex ( with 75 equivalent) — GR on wrist strap and Nex on neck strap — and am ready for pretty much anything. So your strategy sounds perfect to me. Scratch that itch.

But there are the 24mm OM and the 90mm Bokina.

i just could not get used to manual focus on the fujis…seems silly to me to have this fine digital auto focus camera and not use their lenses...

On a tripod manual fokus is fine. So for tabletop and macro no problem.
Also landscape with the zuiko 24 is a pleasure.
