I'd say go for it. I did recently, replacing my R-D1. I can not afford the M9, and even the M8u and M8.2 are a lot more expensive. Yes, the M8 has it's limitations, but which camera hasn't? I use it mostly with one lens with ir cut filter and at iso < 1250, within those bounds it works very well, it is making me use my m6 a lot less. But I agree what a lot of people here say: depends on the price. I could get mine for a reasonable price, but I also realise for that price I could almost get an eos 5DII. But since using rangefinders, I do not like dslr's anymore.
