Wow, just wow. Poor MF Fuji fans.

If I were to buy a new MF camera, yes, I would buy one of these. They look great and the images I've seen look wonderful. I'm glad Fuji has the balls to still make products that aren't purely for the consumer department store crowd.

Could not agree more. It's amazing how much attention the X100 gets, which for all it's strengths is a P&S digital compact. The GF670 does not get much love here, even though it's an actual range finder, not a pretend one.
 
I vowed to never use a film camera again but then I saw a like-new Fuji 670 for sale on Amazon for $800 with lens shade and case. So I took the plunge and bought it. I have also ordered the items needs to develop my own C41 and E6 film. Developing myself does not appear to be difficult given my many years of scientific lab experience.
The camera arrived yesterday. It is like-new and came in the original box. It just took a few minutes to learn how to use. I will be shooting a few rolls of Ektar 100 this weekend.

I love mine too, but I don't think it is the most user friendly camera. Folding is very tight, so it requires taking off filters and drawing in the lens to infinity position. The hinges are not very strong and are very easy to bend if you forget this and do not fold slowly and carefully enough. I think it is a major inconvenience; I would not mind if it were 3-4mm wider to allow keeping a filter on.

I think mine was probably damaged by someone trying it in the store because I had to send it to Fuji USA to adjust the RF, and they said the hinges needed replacement. I am quite sure I myself never forced the door to close.

That said, I've got great results from it ever after it was fixed.
 
Back to the OP's question: a qualified 'Yes' ... I wish the price wasn't so steep.

A fixed-lens MF rangefinder for $1700? You can get a used Mamiya 7ii kit for that price, with the benefit of interchangeable lenses.

Heck, you could theoretically buy about 15 Moskva RF medium-format folders for that price! Sure, maybe only 5 of them would work. But still! 😀 You'd still have lots of money left over for some stale-dated 120 rolls of Svema film!
 
A mod needs to change the title of this thread (seriously) to:

'Would you buy the new Fuji medium format Range Finder.'

It would save a lot of confusion ... I'm amazed at how many people are jumping into this thread assuming it's about the X100!

And put the word film in there after medium format for good measure.

The thread is in the "Bigger than 35 RF's" forum, so we already know it's about medium format. 🙂 If Fuji introduced a digital medium format rangefinder, they'd have that segment all to themselves; it would be unique in the market. Most interesting... 😎

Sounds like a good rumour to start ... I wonder when it wll be available? 😀

A lot of posters seem to enter a thread without having read back through the thread to see what it's 'actually' about ... I notice it a lot.

I am sure you will like the camera very much. It gives a very good quality format combined with a compact and relative light camera. Also the 6x6cm and 6x7cm feature is very nice. My favorite films: Acros 100, Retro 100 TONAL and Efke 25. Suggested option: Sun hood combined with 40,5mm sizes filters. The filter you let in the hood and the last one is a quick bayonet closure. The leather pouch is also nice in transport but expensive.
