Wow, EOS-M, seems almost like Canon took my idea (!!)

A few years back I suggested just such an EOS as the OpenEOS here on RFF (CLICK). According to this article, tech radar (CLICK) , Canon basically moved the mount back such that the adapter simply connects the contact points, point to point.

But, it isn't "open" (or is it?), and it is missing what I think is the most important feature of any camera: a manually released, spring loaded shutter. I wrote about it on this site and here (CLICK).

Other features would be autofocusing in the adapter, and slide-in optical rangefinder/viewfinder that connects to the electronics to determine focus.

Even better--a flim back!

As an aside, is the EOS throat wide enough to handle 120?

Wow, there's no way Canon would arrive to such a non-obvious idea without someone's input!

Wow, I think RFF died, just like the human race will -- because input, the abstract, thesis is attacked antithetically consisently: synthesis.

Have a nice life, or death if you survive to 2050 for the real heat and mass starvation, oligarch waiting for the day you can knife the aristocracy to establish the kingdom of philosophers: communism.

When I was 7 I suggested to my dad that they should put airbags on the passenger side. And like a year later I saw an ad in a magazine where Ford did just that. I was all in a huff that they stole my idea.

Also when I was 14 I told my dad to buy shares in Apple. He didn't take my advice. It was about $12 a share back then and every other day was supposedly their last.

People keep getting rich off of my ideas.

Oh, that's nothing: when I was 13, I had the idea about encrypting the communication channel to prevent snooping. Everybody said "nobody will be sending sensitive information on a computer!" This is back in the day when most people thought that computers were only for secretaries and "a fad".

You sound like a laugh a minute type of guy. Do you do all your reading on rense.com ?

pretty sure canon would not excist in 10 years if they hadn't put out a mirrorless interchangable lens camera out by now , since they are already too late.

Plus it's a poor attempt.

Nice Try John Bessa , Nice try.

Canon will make a high end full frame mirrorless camera in the future , when they do remeember this post and remember they stole my idea.
