Out today for my first trip with my new X-E1. What a delightful camera to use ,that brings back the days of pre-digital.

Downloaded the images (for some reason in CS6) to ACR and was really disappointed with the quality in the conversion. Then looked at the jpg copies and realised that other forum members were right... Fuji does a great job on in camera processing.

I then brought the RAW files into Aperture 3 and got superb results equal to the in camera processing.

But.........

Realising I did not do the original conversions in Bridge CC, tried this and my disappointment was over. ACR in CC is fabulous and if you are having problems with ACR do try the CC version. It does mean signing up for the monthly charge (not a problem for me as running a pro photography company) but Adobe has fixed the issues from CS6.

I have set up a preset for standard B&W that I am happy with and will be taking a look at producing some other presets similar to the Fuji Film options in camera soon.

Love the camera. Used mostly the EVF which I have been really pleased with today, as I need reading glasses. Exposures and colour better than my 5Dmk3.

Thats good to know Adobe can now handle the Fuji raw files a lot better. Of course an alternative to signing up for CC to do this, I imagine is to use Lightroom, which should have the same raw processing abilities as ACR.
