Darkroom printing lives
With all the talk about X1, it got me thinking that although I love the look of X1 (reminded me of a modern Leica 0), I just plain don't need it.
(Not to mention that with 2k to spend, I'd rather have a nice second-hand Nikon D700)
This thought is further secured by a roll of Tri-X and a walk with an old friend that sports a "SuperScope" finder on the top plate, allowing me to compose by looking directly down.
Which is helpful because it makes me look like just a dork trying to figure out what's wrong with my camera, so it doesn't put people on-guard.
Gear: Yashica T3D
Film: Tri-X in Rodinal 1+50 14 min.
I can't even buy a few roll of films (or packs of gum) with the money I spent on this camera. But for the most part, it's fun to use, its Tessar lens is very good, and ... what else is there? I really doubt that having an X1 would add too much to that.
