I planned to buy this lens and I will order one ASAP. I'm selling the 35/1.4.

I found your comments about the conical shape interesting and encouraging. I would be disappointed if the X-Pro2 (or whatever follows the X-Pro1) did not have an OVF. Designing a new prime that is more OVF friendly is a positive sign.

I am a bit puzzled by the pin-chusion distortion. Perhaps the final version of the on-board lens correction parameters were not in your example's firmware.

Yes, it looks more than likely the X-pro2 will have OVF; I believe it is one of the top reasons to have conical shape.

Would not be worried about the little bit of distortion in close up; no lens is perfect in this and the lens firmware will likely correct most of it.

Buy it and make some great images! I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I did!

I'm sure/hope that the X-Pro2 will have a OVF, otherwise they would be killing the XE series.

Very excited to see what Fuji will be offering with the X-Pro2
