My brother in law (I love my sister's choices!) gave me his Xpan II with all three lenses to use as I see fit. I have been an M owner/user for several years but am intrigued with this new toy and based on previous threads here, have opted to take it, together with alot of rolls of fuji velvia 50 to Telluride, CO for a photo vacation in lieu of the Ms. Well, its a family vacation, but my main activities will be flyfishing and photography.
All my M/CLE best efforts seem to be of the wide-angle variety and I wonder how it will translate with the panoramic capacity of the Xpan? Looking forward to seeing what I can come up with.
I enjoy reading all your comments and there seems to be a minimum of ego involved with this Xpan forum which is a pleasant change from some of the strong opinions found elsewhere.
Oh, and the camera is definitely a thing of beauty... like the leicas but different... and no less in quality. The body, although larger than the m, somehow seems easier to deal with while not feeling like I'm horsing around a brick. So far I am enamored with the new Xpan... we'll see how it works out after 2 weeks in the mountains.
