Hey all, just a quick question...
I just got my brand new xpan 2 and i love it, thoroughly impressed!!!!! Was alot heavier/chunkier than i expected and it feels very professional!!!

I have a question in relation to the lenses.
On the Aperture dial, it has the numbers - 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16 & 22, to select the aperture you wish to use.

However!!!,.... when you turn to dial to select the aperture against the aperture index, it can actually be selected halfway between each aperture value??
(Hard to explain i know).. ill try better..

If i select f4 for my picture (ie line 4 up against the index).. then decide to goto 5.6, it actually (makes a slight click) in between 4 and 5.6, as though there is an in between value????

Why is this?... and what are these values?..

Please help!!!

I don't use an Xpan, but this is quite normal. The 'inbetween' clicks you san sense are half stops - i.e. the click betwen f4 and f5.6 is halfway between the two.

And if you really need the values, divide a given aperture number by 2^0.25 to get the 1/2 stop larger aperture and multiply by 2^0.25 to get the 1/2 stop smaller aperture.
Example: given aperture number = 8 (= 2^3),
1/2 stoper larger: 8/2^0.25 = 6.72.. (= 2^2.75),
1/2 stoper smaller: 8*2^0.25 = 9.51.. (= 2^3.25).
Well, actually this is pretty unimportant :)
