How many 36exp rolls can you get out of one set of batteries?
I would like to hear from ACTUAL XPan users, detailing under what working conditions they based their conclusions. Thanks.

Couldnt say exactly, but i would say i probably get 30 - 40 rolls out of mine...

bearing in mind that the xpan uses battery to hold the shutter open, so long shutter speeds (in the minutes) really drains them.

Plus being lithiums they drain just sitting in the camera over time, so i guess it really is kinda hard to tell unless someone has actually shot roll after roll in one sitting to see how many they get outa one set of batteries.

But for me, doing landscapes with SOME longer exposures, i reckon about 30 - 40... somehwere around that anyways. give or take!

My Xpan II doesn't get a lot of use. But I cannot remember when I last changed the batteries. Months and months, maybe more than a year ago. And the camera still reports full.

So at least I can say that battery shelf life shouldn't be a problem.

I think I would agree with Ben on my XPan 1, I think its all of 35 rolls, which is the about the most I have shot over say a week after installing fresh batteries . Over a longer period it's enough that I don't worry, about it, but I do carry carry a spare set of batteries just in case.
