Some of you may remember when I was experimenting with and created a prototype of a Xpan 24x65mm specific film holder for flatbed scanners.

The prototype was made for the Epson V700/750 and worked really well.

I recently acquired an Xpan II camera again so have some motivation to pick this project back up again.

The V700/750 series model would be refined and I'd be seeing about making a model for the less expensive Epson scanners such as the V600.

I'm posting this to gauge current interest in such a product. I'll probably create a Kickstarter project to fund the project and give early adopters an opportunity to get in on the ground floor.

If you think you might be interested in XpanScan, please reply to this thread or send me an email at ausdlk@gmail.com.

I'd be interested in participating.... I'm using Betterscanning ANR glass inserts now and they works alright but they are a hassle to load and clear of dust. Also they have to be taped down if the film is curled.

The final prototype was all one piece -- there are no snap-in film holders. It's much easier to use with no extra parts to break or lose. There will be no need for ANR inserts. They are height adjustable.

Me too ' I am interested in this but my Scanner is Nikon 5000ED with which I am having a very hard time to finish one scan. It takes long time to work on one image as I am stitching all my images in PhotoshopCS4 and it is very tricky to scan a X-pan Pano negative with VueScan.

VueScan is not very great as Nikon Scan itself. I bought it as My Mac Pro upgraded to Lion made me to get this Scan Vue and I heard lot of people are praising on this.

I am thinking of Silverfast and If I buy Epson 700pro it is bundle together.

That's why I am interested in this Panoramic holder!
