On Yashica-Guy's website www.yashica-guy.com he (Joe Marcel Wolff) says he is this nice guy trying to help other Yashica Electro fans. He adds that he lost all his cameras in 2006 flood and would appreciate donations of unique Yashica Electros for reference.
So, does anybody know anything, good or otherwise, about him?
I was just given a Exc+ Yashica Electro 35 CC. His website says the CC is a very rare model that he has never owned.
I was given the camera by an old man selling junk off the hood of his car in very rural north Florida. It was not with the junk for sale but he pulled it out of the back seat and offered it. He was so pleased that I raved at page after page of boring Kodachromes he had shot over the years. He said he once was a pro. It was a tough call if I should leave him with his dignity or with some money.
So should I offer this unique camera to Yashica Guy?

I don't have CC so can't send it out. If you feel that CC isn't that useful for you, you could tell price for which you got it. I'd support you with donation if price isn't insane, and if someone else would support me, we all together could make a great gift to Yashica Guy.
At least I have started to learn about Electro's and Lynxes from his website and think he would be happy to see that many people have enjoyed his submission on this cameras.

I have an extra GS I could send Yashica Guy, I didnt realize this happened to him. He has given me advice a couple times. LEt's flood him with yashica's. MAybe he'll come on the forum.

Joe is a real nice guy. He's also given me some free advice. Before the flood, he was making nice, inexpensive battery converters for the GX but the flood destroyed his work shop.

Thanks everyone. I took the Electro 35 believing that the owner was not going to use it and I could find it a good home.
When I found out that the Electro 35 CC was a rare model, I though it made sense to give it to someone who would appreciate it's rarity rather than someone who would use it as any other Electro 35.
So I will ask Yahica-Man if he wants it. If he already has one, I will just offer it to my friendly local used camera dealer (for free of course since he never charges me for small things. he gave me a perfect Canonet GIII last year) If he doesn't want it, I will just offer it to someone here.
