Newbie
I just bought a Yashica Lynx 14 at an antique shop for $10. It looks to be in good condition cosmetically, but one of the parts is loose on the lens. I'd like to know how to remove the lens on this camera.
I'm new to photography and want to take up b&w photography. Can anyone here give me more info about this camera?
Thanks.

Film is the other way
google Yashica Guy, Matt Denton and Karen Nakamura. All have info on the Lynx. Denton used to have info and photos of the Yashica assembly. Not specfically the Lynx but enough to give you an understanding of the Yashica Rangefinder principles

Both Karen and Matt will refer you to the Yashica Guy.
For me, the explanations and pictures of the Yashica Guy are quite like a moovie with extensive chunks of censored material. But, you can happen to be more talented and keep the pace.
If not, you still have the option of buying a factory repair manual, or taking into account how lucky you have been in the low price of purchase, sending the camera to a professional, the top one for Yashicas being Mark Hama, located in the US.
Cheers,
Ruben

hello ap117!
try this link: http://feuerbacher.net/photo/frame.html (cameras - and then on down for repair articles)
i've to disasamble the lens for fixing the shutter (sometimes), but its important to have the right tools (maybe build it by yourself.
