Yashica Soft Release?

Does anyone know the thread size and pitch on Yashica shutter releases? It's too bad TomA's excellent Soft Releases don't fit. I'm looking for a short machine screw that will.

I use the thread from a generic cable release which normally fits on all my other cameras...didn't even know that it was different thread. I think I have seen a thread which says that TomA's softees fit...i will look it up..

Believe me, I wish they did fit...I tried Tom's softies on mine even before the notice on his webpage that they don't. Thanks for the thread link - I'll look for a generic softie on ebay.

OK, but I still don't get it...i use the same cable release for Zorki, Leica, Rollei, and Yashica. Even for Yashica 230 AF. What are those TomA's made for? As I understand, they DO fit Leicas..

I too have bemoaned the lack of a TA soft release for Yashicas. I even asked Tom A about making a run of unthreaded soft releases and I'd get my own threaded. No dice was the answer because they're made on CNC machines.
