Nice shot and great airplane. I have a tail wheel endorsement on my license and was going to get checked out in a J3 but the club that owned it lost their insurance. I flew an Aeronca Champ 7DC a lot and loved it but it just didn’t have the romance of the J3.

I soloed in an Aeronca Champ but that was back wen Avgas was 29 cents a gallon.

I can’t even remember Avgas at 29 cents. Thats pretty cheap flying when you’re only using 3 1/2 gal per hour. Oh for the old days. Fun flying.
