A sedge found in wet prairie habitats in Illinois, probably Carex media. I said 'probably' because the genus Carex is a PITA to key out for someone like me who is not a plant taxonomist or a botanist. Cool pic regardless, these are kinda hard to catch in bloom, only display for a short period. Kodachrome 25, Canon Ftb, Canon 50/3.5 macro
