I think its time to do some clearing all right. When I finds the present roll of Ilford 3200 in the Canonet its going, as may be the YashicaMat (rather than get a cla for it..). I have used up all my 35mm slide film now and am thinking of getting rid of of my Canon 300v slr and lenses, although I am not sure I will have the heart to sell it at such a low price.

The amount of time I use my slr in a year does not seem to be able to justify buying a digital slr in the future (although I have to say Olympus tuff looks good..). I will probably stick with it for the immediate future. This being RFF with some slant towards tlrs does annyone feel the same about their film slrs (ie. ok for now and again but do not want to spend the extra money on digital options...)

regards

Stephen

Your camera count should be equal to, or double, your age. After all you should get at least one bit of gear every birthday and annual festive season ;)

Ash ... this is assuming that you obviously had your first camera presented to you shortly after they cut the umbilical cord? Was it a rangefinder ... or can't you remember? :p

This is scary to actually answer!!!!

Rangefinders:

M8
M5
ZI
iiif

Other:

D200
DLux3

I don't want to think about the number of lenses.

Twenty+. The majority of the collection are folders/bellows cameras, in various states of deterioration, bought from the local antiques fair. Last count was 12 Kodak cameras, 3 Coronet bellows cameras, 2 Ensign "Ful-Vue"s, 2 Zeiss Ikon bellows cameras, a Minolta Autocord, a Voigtlander "Brillant" (as well as a 1930's Bessa), 2 Bencini Comets, and various others... including some odd metal bodied/barrelled leaf-shuttered Polariod/Land camera.

I'm out of space, and still looking for a Canon A1, Canon T90, Minolta 9000, Leica M3 and Kodak 127 Mk3.

In a nut shell. This is my list for now I'm sure it will grow some more. All are in working order, some of them don't look so good but they will take photos none the less.

Hmm...

1 scale focus
1 p&s
3 FSUs
2 fixed lens RF
1 non-FSU LTM
3 M mount RF
1 G-series RF
2 SLR
1 camera phone
1 digicam

Just shy of 20 - but that will probably change (and not downwards).

Yashica Lynx 14e IC
Yashica Electro CC
Yashica Electro GSN
Konica Auto S3
Pentax K-mount Vivitar SLR

Agfa Ventura 66 Deluxe w/ Solinar (folder)

Nine.

Eh - there's worse things in life than owning a bunch of old (and in my case, "cheap") cameras. However, clearly I have an addiction. This is why I never went down the Leica path.

I have a few more hiding in my storage boxes. :)

THANK GOD! Reading through this thread alleviates a deep-seated fear I had that I might be the only crazy. Compared to some, yes. Compared to others I don't even rank.

An OM-1 with three Zuiko lenses. A Mamiya C220 with two lenses. A Hexar AF and a Yashica T-4. A Contax G1 with two lenses. RF bodies: M6, Hexar RF and a new ZI. For the bodies: 35mm ASPH Summilux, CV 40mm Nokton, 50mm/F2 Hexanon, Canon TV 50mm/f0.95, 75mm Summilux (and seriously thinking I want/need a Zeiss 50mm Sonnar). Digital: two Panasonic P-S and an E-300 with the 14mm-54mm. My wife is using the the E-300 and one of the Panasonics, and she has a mothballed Canon AE-1. I am using the rest; less the C220 and the T4 than the others, but no desire to divest any at this point.

I make it 11. What a relief to get that off my chest!

Woah! I get anxious about having too many and I've got three cameras (and a fourth on its way). I keep thinking I'd better decide which one I'm going sacrifice seeing as There's a new one coming.

You may not count one of them as a camera though, it's a Holga. Film, on the other hand, I get anxious about having too little with 90 metres sitting in the freezer.

Pentax K1000
Canonet QL17
Holga
Bessa R (on its way)

Sometimes I use my sister's cameras too, an Olympus OM1 and a little toy camera with a 28mm plastic lens and fixed shutter speed/aperture; exposure control through film speed.

I lied.

I lied.

I blithely checked the "5 to 10" choice but let's see if I lied or not:
Canon P
Zorki 3M
FED5
Agat 18k
Kiev 4
Kiev 4a(on loan at the moment)
Arax 60(tweaked Kiev 60)
Pentax K2
Kodak Retina 1a
Pentax UC-1
Canon Rebel II
Uh oh, that is 11... and I haven't counted all of 'em yet.:bang:
Yashica Lynx 1000
Porst Reflex(re-branded Praktica Super TL3, I think)
Seagull 4A-107
Vivitar 35EE
Bolsey B-2
Argus C-4
Argus C-44
18 and that's all. Well, for now anyway.:D
The TLR threads have been giving me some...inspiration:rolleyes: and I may be looking for a nice 127 camera later this summer.
And, no I don't plan on culling any more than I have already. I like all the cameras I now have and even though some of them don't get a lot of use--the C-4 needs some rehab, the Bolsey is very fiddly to use, the Rebel is not my first choice for SLR use(I have better lenses for the Pentax and Porst) I enjoy that I own them.

RF: Fuji GA645Wi, Fuji GW690iii, Mamiya Universal, Polaroid 195, Minolta CLE,

SLR: Minolta XD-7/XE-1/X-700(2x)/ SRT-101b, Leica R-E, Polaroid sx-70. Nikkormat, Mamiya C220, Pentax IST-ds.

That makes 19

Working collection

Working collection

From the oldest to the newest, here's a list of the cameras I own:

Rolleicord V
Nikon F
Nikon F Photomic
Canon Canonet QL17
Polaroid 360
Polaroid Square Shooter
Nikon F2
Polaroid Square Shooter 2
Canon Canonet QL17 G-III QL
Polaroid SX-70
Fujica ST605
Canon A-1
Polaroid OneStep AF
Polaroid I-Zone
Polaroid Spectra 1200si
Kodak C533

I might feel bad about having so many cameras cluttering up the house if it weren't for the fact that I've used EVERY one of them in the last year and more than half of them in the last month. There never was much point to geting a camera just to put it on a shelf. They're meant to be used. I even used the last of my Type 88 film in the Square Shooter just over a week ago. Fortunately, there's only one digital camera on the list.
