I've only been playing with rangefinders for a couple of months now, but already I've collected together:
FED-4 (only an I-61 with this, I need more lenses)
Olympus 35 RC
Olympus Trip 35

To add to my digicams:
Panasonic Lumix FX8
SE K750i (doesn't really count)

Obviously I use the film cameras more, because let's face it, old stuff is just more fun.

mm lets see
3 FSU rangefinders
5 film slrs (3 more to come)
1 High end digital point and shoot
3 DSLR
Ive got more rangefinders on the way and I cant resist a bargain!
I need more cameras and lenses and the wife agrees!!!

1 Canon A80 digicam
1 Canon FTb
1 Canon EF
1 Zorki 1C
1 Leica IIIc

I want to flog the last, and three lenses and a finder, to raise the loot to buy a digital SLR, but RFF won't let me pay for an ad in the only way I can. See thread "Paying for an ad".

2 Olympus SLR bodies (incredible, but I prefer RF now), one Minolta TC-1 (incredible for what it is, but too limiting for me), then RF:

- a Zorki that I use with my Summitar
- a Leica iii that I don't use (not even with my Elmar-clone) because 1/4s doesn't work correctly. Also, I don't really like the 2 button shutter speed system. Zorki simplicity rocks !

Next up: something digital. M8: too expensive. Panasonic/Leica SLR: too big. Other SLR: each has its disadvantages. P&S: too plastic & too limited. There's just nothing that fits my bill at the moment.

Peter.

Roberto, you have made me feel much better now... You are a great fellow to have found the courage to confess all that stuff... Hmmm... maybe I should try this as well to feel liberated ?
Will mull this issue over... ;)

I don't quite grasp that "too many" concept, but I understand the "more to come" part. And that's some list! Was it a bit of a shock to compile the list and see just how extensive it is? :)

about 15 I think:

Canon EOS 350D
Canon EOS 500
Mamiya SDX(?) 1000
Rolleicord III
Zorki I
Kodak Pocket no 1
Holga
Agfa Clack
Minox 35 (?)
Yashica Electro 35 GT
Konica EF-P 35c
Zeis Ikon (the old one, with casette film)

Maybe some more, not sure

For work -

Nikon F5 (two of them)
Nikon D1X
Nikon D1H
Nikon D2Xs

For me -

Leica M6
Contax G1
Nikon FM2
Nikon F90x (two of these)
Nikon F801s
Mamiya 645
Fujifinepix E900 ( a much worse camera than I thought, but good enough for fun snaps when out on the lash)

Some of these never get used but its just not worth trying to sell some as it'll cost you more to package and send than you'll get for the camera.

I'm done...I actually just gave a GSN away because 5 seemed like too many:)

Thanks to Jason I can now add that GSN to my list above!

I´m getting pretty close to thirty right now.
I´ve got an old ALAS box camera which has been repaired and is in fully working condition, and on May´s end I´ll receive a "new" ´62 Kiev 4 fitted with a ´57 J3.... so now they are 29.

Doug and mfogiel.
I frightened when I began typing the quantity and the list did not stop growing.. Maybe I'll have to reduce the fleet a bit.
Mfogiel,
confess, confess! You'll feel a lot more relaxed!

Blimey, I though I had too many but I'm an amateur compared to lots of people here :)

I have:

M6
R-D1s
Bessa R2
Olympus 35 RC
Olympus 35 SP
Rolleiflex 3.5T
Lubitel 2
Ricoh GR-D
Olympus 7070
Canon 300D

I need a clear out. I think the R-D1s, the Olympus 7070 and the Canon 300D need new homes. I'm happy with film for b&w and the GR-D for colour, and much as I like the R-D1s a lot I've barely used it for the last couple of months. The Canon and the 7070 haven't been used for even longer. I don't like holding onto things I don't use.

Not enough!! I looked and looked and looked but couldn't find a NIkon RF in the fleet:eek:

I am surprised to see that quite a few of you have so many cameras!

I am curious to know when you have time to use them all?

I keep it rather simple, and barely have time to use all of these cameras.

2 RF Bodies
1 Medium Format
1 4x5 Speed Graphic

A lot. And I'm reminded of the adage: One camera is to use, two is a back-up. Three, you're a collector. I guess that makes me a collector, and indeed I've bought a lot of old cameras on evil-bay. But I also have most of the ones I've ever bought new. Basic run-down:

Minolta SRT-101
Minolta SRT-102
Minolta X-700
Minolta Maxxum 7
(Konica)-Minolta Maxxum 7D (so far my only digital)
Leica M4-2 - and three lenses
Yashicamat 124
Olympus Stylus
Varous and sundry old Russian and German cameras

I voted (36 pieces) and then I read the comments of others .....I feel so much BETTER! There are others like me.....;)

I thought 20 was excessive, I`m just a dabbler compared to you guys. Still SWMBO, really does`t need to know, best sweep this one under the carpet.

Far too many cameras... definitely more than thirty, but I've lost count. Time to thin the herd.

DrLeoB: Last I heard, Cuestar and Celestron are telescopes. Maybe not Mt. Wilson or Palomar, but they are for more distant matters. Oh, I forgot Lick. As you can see, I'm from California. BTW, I hope that "Dr" is for real. My sister went through that crucible of Hell.
