I don't think this is a famous photo, but I found it immensely intriguing.
http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2553282 it's of a carpenter at work by a photographer called Michael Ging. To me it looks like a Dutch master in terms of composition, lighting, subject, etc and is perfect for me. Everytime I see this, I realise that I have so much further to go in my photography...

I'm actively learning about photography so my current preferences will likely change very quickly... At the moment, I'd say my favourite photograph is by Cartier-Bresson, taken, I believe, in Burma, with stairs surrounded by trees, a girl on the left looking at the camera, and several people on the stairs. If anybody can find the photo online, that would be nice, but I can't.
