So what are you using right now?

I mostly I use Ilford B&W of various speeds but right now I'm experimenting with some Kodak 400 colour "el cheapo" from the local super market.

As long as you get decent processing over there, you might be surprised at how good current Kodak 400 is (they call it ultramax in the US)

I keep multiple OM bodies so I can always have b&w, color, and slide loaded, but b&w gets shot the most use around here. Currently loaded is Kodak gold100, velvia 50, and hp5

Expired film is oddly expensive
I just pay for fresh stuff
My go to bright daylight film is Acros, though its getting expensive, and night time is P3200 (while supplies last, I guess)

I shoot a lot of Ilford, some Kodak, some Rollei infrared and Retro, some Maco (what's left of my supply) and a lot of Adox. I also have some Lomography film in 110.

I shoot some Fuji color print and Rite Aid 400 (which also is Fuji).

I can't afford expired film.

I've recently started shooting the Lomography 100ASA C-41 film, it comes in a pack of three and is cheaper per exposure than a four pack of Fuji Superia from Walmart. It is some sort of Kodak film and results are nice.

Exktachrome is dead so I sampled some Agfa Precisa - seems good enough so far, but hard to find in the U.S.

I don't really shoot B&W anymore because my favorite emulsions, Plus-X, and Neopan SS are dead. But I'm trying some Foma 100. I tend to shoot B&W in my rangefinders rather than in the SLRs.

Favourite film or most commonly used?

Favourite: Kodak Porta 400, it's colour tone works wonders for serene images.

Most used: Plus-X 125, because I'm working my way through a 400' roll I have in the freezer.

100 ISO colour slide, mostly various Fuji types (Sensia, Velvia, Provia) as well as some Ektachrome, 3M, and Agfachrome RSX II 100, depending on what I grab out of the freezer.
My stock is a dog's breakfast because the few hundred rolls I've got squirreled away all came gratis from my photobuds when they cleaned out their freezers after going Digital.

This is not an anti-film rant. Far from it. Read this as the confession of an abandoner-of-film after a 35-year habit.

I shot a lot of Kodachrome and a very small amount of Tri-X.
After K went away, I really tried to love Velvia. I really did. Tried all the other transparency films I could get my hands on. Admittedly my pursuit of the colours red and yellow probably reached the realm of the frantic.

I find Agfa Precisa is actually warmer than Elite Chrome was - no purplish blue shadow areas (although I kind of liked that) and nice renditions of warm hues. I was told to use a 1A filter to achieve the Elite Chrome look, but don't think that is necessary it is already warmer on its own. I never really thought Kodachrome was as special though, I used Ektachrome until Kodak axed it.

Most often a medium-fast film, in the region of ISO 100-125. Plus-X in particular was very nice, it just worked with my usual developers and the kind of light one finds here. Since it's no more, Delta 100 has taken its place (for now).
